Fitting and motorising roller shutters

An electric roller shutter keeps you cool in summer and provides extra security in the evening. Ahmed will install the type that suits your façade: a surface-mounted roller shutter with the box on the outside of the façade, or a built-in roller shutter that disappears into the wall during a renovation. He'll connect the tubular motor and the controls neatly, with the cables concealed behind the switch. If you still have manually operated roller shutters, he can, in most cases, retrofit them with a motor. The roller and the guide rails remain in place; only the motor and controls are added.

Automating garage doors

A motorised garage door opens and closes without you having to get out of the car. A sectional door is often chosen because it retracts compactly beneath the ceiling and provides good insulation. Ahmed installs the door, fits the drive mechanism and carefully adjusts the end positions so that the door stops exactly where it should. Photocells and a safety strip ensure that the door stops or reverses if there is anything underneath it. These safety components are mandatory for an automated door, and Ahmed adjusts the closing force to eliminate any risk of entrapment.

Sliding and swing gates for your driveway

An automatic driveway gate secures your property without you having to get out of the car. For a sliding gate, Ahmed installs the rack-and-pinion motor and the ground rail; for a swing gate, he fits the arm drive to the pillars. He neatly finishes off the control box and wiring, with a separate circuit for the motor. If you're installing from scratch, he'll also provide the conduit and the foundations. You can operate the gate using a remote control, a keypad or your smartphone. In the event of a power cut, you can unlock the gate manually.

Repairing a faulty motor or a jammed gate

Is your gate getting stuck, does your roller shutter no longer close completely, or is the motor not responding to the remote control? Ahmed first identifies the cause before replacing anything. Often, the problem is a worn-out part, a misaligned end position or a faulty control system, and a repair will suffice. Please note: a motor won't last if the gate is worn out. If the guide rails or springs are broken, the gate structure must be repaired first before replacing the motor makes sense. Ahmed will give you an honest assessment of what can be repaired and what is better off being replaced.
